How to import  mp4 files  into iTunes from your hard drive (Mac & PC):

Step 1:   Launch iTunes
  - PC: Double-click the iTunes icon on your desktop to launch the program
  - Mac: Click the iTunes icon in your dock to launch the program

Step 2:  Be sure that  “Keep iTunes Music folder organized” & “Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library” are checked under  Edit > Preferences > Advanced

Step 3:   Add the mp4 video file to your iTunes library:

Step 4:    Sync Your iPod -
Plug one end of your USB connector cable or dock and into the bottom of your iPod and the other end into the USB port on your computer. Your video will sync with your iPod and you should be good to go!
